A few days before when i woke up , i was amazed to see the size and colour of the moon . It was actually giving us a clear idea of how it is in reality , that is , it is not a white ball which we normally see.
I like the colour . It looks more like 'SUN' at night . It is quite fascinating to see that this view of moon is becoming more and more common.
I remember seeing it last night as well , but i couldn't take a picture of it.

It was really amazing to see Venus so clearly in SINGAPORE sky..I just took the opportunity to share this picture with u ..In it , you can clearly realise ,that, what u r looking at is actually a planet . It is not professional photo..Its fascinating to know that we r only able to see VENUS only when day starts to fall or starts to grow dark . Detailed reason in the next entry .

IS THERE LIFE OUTSIDE EARTH ?

Aliens !!!! The thought of that word itself, on one hand , can bring a jolt of excitement in the body , but on the other hand, one site of any alien can scare us to death.
It is most happening debate in the field of space science..The ques asked to every scientist is :Is there life outside earth and if so how do they look ?

Many researchers and movies have tried to show aliens in scary and friendly forms..They have imagined them in various images .Apart from this people claim that they have seen UFOs as well as aliens..But still , our mind is not ready to accept it..why? Why is it so difficult for us to accept that there is life outside earth ? We like it when its in the movies , but when it comes to even imagining about seeing a real alien , we cannot digest it. Why? Think about it . What answer does your common sense give u ?

My commonsense tells me that there are aliens ,for sure.. My logic ,behind this conclusion ,is as follows : Universe is very ,very big, so big that we take many light years just to travel within our galaxy (which is a very small part of the universe). I know that life on earth was created due to perfect circumstances ( the distance from the sun , the composition of gases in the beginning ,etc) but that doesn't mean that this perfect circumstances cannot be created again . There r so many stars with many planets revolving around them ,at least one more sun would be having a planet with life on it !

Presence of aliens can be proved using a smaller model of the universe ,i.e. by finding a similar pattern on earth . Initially we thought that life was possible only on land because circumstances were perfect on land ( we have water , air, soil/food ) , but later we discovered life in water ( where there is shortage of oxygen as compared to land ,also there is no food which resembles to the food that we get on land ) .We thought that life will be possible in the water only to the limit where there is sunlight. But soon we found life in the deep ocean which was different from both land and water (as there is no sunlight and the amount of oxygen is very very low) .

So you see there is no perfect situation for life ..We can have life in any form and at any place. The basic needs for survival can be different , and so according to that, their body is adapted .

So it is not compulsory to have circumstances like earth ,for life to evolve. Different conditions can give birth to life of different shape and different basic needs for survival..

The only thing that i find may be really difficult to be true is that the life would be exactly SAME on another planet as it is on earth. I m not saying that this is impossible ..I m just saying it will be rare..But this is possible..

So the conclusion is that there is life out there waiting for us to reach them or maybe they have already found us.. who know !!!!!!!!

I have no idea how much scientists have found out . I don't even know what they believe in. Actually i think there is no way they will disclose whether they have detected life outside earth because they r also highly aware that this information can create panic among people . People may fear that aliens will come to earth and do some harm to them. This can also be reason why never detecting UFOs have been disclosed at a very large levels, like news .

The real view of space.

This is how our space looks . Normally space is shows as an even place with many tiny stars everywhere .Those stars are equidistant from each other and also are shown of same size.

In reality this cannot be possible. The logic behind it is that ,although space has stars scattered every where ,but, in order to view them you need to stand inside the space( standing outside the space and then viewing them is impossible) . The location where u r standing will be near to some stars and a far off to some other . So, always, there will be some stars which will appear big and some small.

This will help us to tell whether the picture shown is fake or real .

This one is scary

This is a nebula. But honestly it looks more like an eye. The precision with which it looks like an eye ,scares me . The green part has a black inner circle is just like the one in our eye and u can even feel the life in its iris (the green part and the black part together is called iris) . I hate to see this picture or even think about it. I will try to find some more information on it so that i can stop being scared of it. But all this, after the exams , which are killing me.

By the way a nebula is an interstellar cloud of dust, gas and plasma. Originally nebula was a general name for any extended astronomical object, including galaxies beyond the Milky Way (some examples of the older usage survive; for example, the Andromeda Galaxy is sometimes referred to as the Andromeda Nebula)

But i don't think that this picture is real.The reason is that there r no stars in the background.Although it is possible that this picture is isolated from the real picture for detailed study.But still i don't want to believe it. :-)

ANOTHER FUN PICTURE

Look at this picture. In this u can see an alien ,with long hairs and a tail. The alien is running with hands open out wide, among the stars. I wish i could also do that. but for that i will have to leave earth , my family and friends ,which i wouldn't love to do.

BEAUTY IN SPACE

When I was going through my collection of pictures on space, i realised that, one thing which always attract me to space ( and will attract u also ) is the shapes that these clouds ,stars, explosions take. Take a look the picture above. At first sight it is clear that some thing has exploded, and that this picture was taken during the explosion . But take a closer look u will see that this cloud looks like a living being(alien) trying to escape from a dense fluid. It also looks like a hand trying to reach out to pluck a star

There is beauty every where in that world. I can feel it. The colours, the shapes ...they r all beautiful.

my chain of thoughts

It is really complicated to write down all that i have learnt about space till now..But still, I will try..Before starting with my new thoughts i will briefly go through what concepts i had developed about space, in my childhood..

India is a land of wonders . I have heard that the saints in olden days , before the British invasion , had already predicted about the world wars and and had gone as far as predicting how this world would end. Although now almost every one know about it , predicting things at that time ,without knowing what pollution is, might be a difficult thing. They were GREAT, SIMPLY GREAT !!!! They didn't have any strong base to justify what they r saying but that doesn't mean that they were wrong. Even Karl Marx (in sociology) did the same thing but he called his thoughts as theories . If these saints knew what theories r they would have called their thoughts also as theories. I admire them for their imagination power.

If u look closely, then u will realize that everything in this world has a pattern. I will try to explain the pattern . It is something that v can imagine.

Lets start with a small child. A child is an human being. When he starts recognising things he sees that he is not the only human . There r many human beings.He is almost negligible in this crowd of humans. Then he is taught about atlas . He learns that his country is not the only country. There r many many more. So many that he struggles to learn their name till the end of his life . He is taught about earth..that it is a planet . Then he is taught about other planets and that there r many planets.. He is taught about sun , then he is told that there r many suns. Then he is told about our solar system and then finally that solar system is a part of milky way galaxy..then of course people stop feeding him with info's and he is given a choice to find the rest on his own..

What do u think, will this chain of thought continue? Yes of course it will. This is what i thought as a child, that if we continue to follow this pattern then there must be many galaxies . All these galaxies must be a part of something else and so on..Where do v stop ?

My imagination went something like this. The galaxies must be a part of some thing big . Also these galaxies must be revolving around something big and energetic like sun.This picture is some thing like solar system , but here instead of planets v have galaxies lets call it GALAXY SYSTEMS .There must be many such galaxy systems and they must be a part of something more big. Here i thought it to be the complete space, the black part. So this means that there must be many such spaces , like there r many milky ways in our space. And all these spaces must be a part of something big. Also all these spaces will be revolving around something big and energetic. . So on and so forth..

Now my problem is where to stop cos i cant find any patten of stopping this chain. Even if i study the simplest example ' life on earth' , they don't seem to show any pattern to stop this continuity . But i m sure there is cos every thing which has a beginning has an end.

This whole concept seems so simple , but actually this concept is a simplified version of the actual thing.

I m not sure if they r going to be true. But some of it has been true. Like up to galaxies it is true . About the galaxies system , I haven't found any evidence of its materializing.

Introduction

This is what i love to do the most . Fly a fighter plane . If i had a chance to fulfill this dream,I would have tried my best and i would be in the IAF flying one of these beauties. that sounds so good....
Apart from this I also love to imagine space. The only thing about my childhood that i remember is lying for hrs either in the verandah (at my brothers place ) or on the bed (in mumbai) and thinking about the outer space ,the stars , life outside the earth..And this ,has always given me energy , strength and a reason to live. I have always had more info about this field then others of my age . Sometimes i surprise my own self. But this has also given a lot of ques to research on .
I have stared this blog so that i can access it whenever i think i have something to write about space. Also i will write down all the questions that i had in mind since childhood, so that one day when i will be doing Masters in astronomy i can find the answers to them . and the second paragraph which seems that i m talking a lot about my qualities, it is to remind myself what i m and what i can be . Whenever i loose the sense of my own self i will read it.
